About The Role We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java-based automation, along with hands-on experience in Jira and Xray for test management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality across SAP S/4HANA implementations through robust testing strategies and automation frameworks. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test strategies for SAP S/4HANA applications Build and maintain automation frameworks using Java-based tools (Selenium/TestNG or similar) Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for SAP modules Collaborate with cross-functional teams (functional consultants, developers, stakeholders) to understand business requirements Create and manage test cases, test plans, and test cycles using Jira and Xray Track defects, manage defect lifecycle, and ensure timely resolution using Jira Work in Agile/Scrum environments, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Validate end-to-end business processes in SAP S/4HANA landscape Perform data validation and backend testing where required Required Skills & Qualifications 6–9 years of experience in QA / Testing / Automation Engineering Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA testing (FICO/MM/SD or related modules) Proficiency in Java automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.) Solid experience with Jira and Xray for test management and reporting Strong understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and Agile methodologies Experience in API testing and integration testing (REST, Postman is a plus) Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Good to Have Experience in test automation for SAP applications Exposure to performance testing or data validation (SQL) Familiarity with SAP test tools or SAP activation methodologies Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, etc.) Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management Strong ownership and accountability Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
