Reubro International - AI/Python Technical Lead

Job Overview :We are looking for an experienced AI / Python Technical Lead to own the technical architecture and AI strategy for a capital-raising automation platform, and to guide the backend and AI development effort end to end.The ideal candidate should have strong experience architecting Python backend systems, integrating LLM/AI services, and leading development teams, with the judgment to make sound technical decisions on an AI-heavy, data-intensive product.Technical Requirements :Technical Architecture & Leadership :- Own the overall system architecture, ensuring backend components (matching engine, document parsing, signal detection, outreach, reporting) work as one connected pipeline rather than disconnected modules.- Set technical standards and review the work of backend developers for consistency and quality.- Make and document key architecture decisions, including database design and service boundaries.AI / LLM Strategy :- Decide on the AI approach for the platform, including choice of provider (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or similar) versus local/offline models, and resolve any inconsistencies in how AI is currently integrated.- Design the prompting and data-extraction strategy for founder document parsing and outreach message generation.- Own the design of the investor-matching and ranking logic, including use of vector embeddings and similarity search.- Evaluate AI output quality and put safeguards in place before AI-generated content (e.g., investor outreach messages) reaches real users.Python Backend Oversight :- Guide backend developers building in Python (FastAPI/Django), reviewing code and API design for scalability and maintainability.- Ensure clean integration between backend APIs and the frontend team's requirements.- Identify and resolve technical blockers across the backend team.Database & Data Architecture :- Own the design of the PostgreSQL with pgvector data layer supporting investor and founder records, matching, and reporting.- Ensure data structures support both current requirements and future scale.Team Mentorship & Delivery :- Mentor backend and AI-focused developers, providing technical guidance and code review.- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator on timelines, technical risks, and scope trade-offs.- Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Cloud Deployment & Infrastructure :- Set direction for deployment on cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.- Ensure logging, monitoring, and performance tracking are in place across services.- Ensure the system is built for reliability and scale from the start.Security & Compliance :- Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and data-handling practices across the platform.- Flag and help resolve compliance-sensitive decisions, such as the approach to automated LinkedIn outreach.Additional Considerations :- Prior experience leading or architecting an AI-heavy product from early-stage codebase to production is a strong plus.- Experience working with LLM APIs (Claude, OpenAI, or similar) in production systems.- Comfortable reviewing and rationalizing an existing partial codebase built by multiple prior contributors.- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.Benefits :- Competitive salary with performance-based incentives.- Ownership of the technical direction for an AI-driven platform from an early stage.- Collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.Join Us :If you have strong experience architecting Python and AI-driven systems, enjoy leading a technical team, and want to shape the direction of an AI-heavy product from the ground up, we encourage you to apply and be part of our team.
