About the role
Role Description The IoT Engineer role at Rhyom Technologies is a full-time, in office position based in Ahmedabad. The IoT Engineer will design, develop, and implement IoT solutions, including device integration, data acquisition, and communication between hardware and software systems, and cutting-edge IoT solutions tailored for large-scale events, exhibitions, and custom automation projects. You will work closely with our technical team to seamlessly integrate hardware sensors, microcontrollers, and immersive displays (including AR, VR, and 3D holographic systems) into cohesive, interactive user experiences. Hardware Expertise : Robust, hands-on command over Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP8266/ESP32, and diverse sensor ecosystems (motion, touch, proximity, environmental). Electronics Knowledge : Deep understanding of circuit-level configuration, wiring, breadboarding, and basic PCB design. Programming Proficiency : Extensive experience in software development and scripting languages commonly used for IoT, with a solid focus on Python and C/C++ Firmware Development : Proven ability to write, debug, and optimize firmware for microcontrollers. Networking Protocols : Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets, Bluetooth/BLE, RFID/NFC) for local network and cloud integrations. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong minimum 1 year of Internet of Things (IoT) skills, including experience in designing and deploying IoT architectures and solutions. Candidates should possess Software Development and Programming skills for embedded systems and application-level IoT platforms. Candidates should possess hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi or similar hardware platforms for prototyping and implementation. Candidates should possess knowledge of Inductive Output Tube (IOT) or related electronic components, as applicable to specialized IoT hardware projects.
