About Riley

Riley is a first-of-its-kind AI companion for parents that offers personalized recommendations and guidance for families navigating the pivotal first year of their child's life and beyond. Our mission is to provide a supportive, intelligent app that acts as a one-stop-shop for any task, question, or need that parents may have by offering personalized advice and insights based on the best available data.

We are a small but mighty team, comprised of a technical founder, design lead, and founding engineers.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience and advanced skills in:

  • Mobile App Development: Demonstrated mastery in building iOS applications.

  • Backend Integration: Experience with connecting mobile apps to backend services.

  • UI/UX Design: Ability to implement clean and responsive user interfaces.

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication for both daily engagement and documentation.

Additional Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Math, Engineering,Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading and building remote engineering teams is highly desirable.
  • A proactive and dedicated mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the foundational iOS app using Swift.
  • Collaborate with the backend team to integrate services.
  • Develop and enhance the user interface for a seamless user experience.
  • Ensure the app's performance, quality, and responsiveness.
  • Communicate effectively with the team, providing clear documentation and project walkthroughs.
  • Balance elegant and general code with speed and product goals.
