About the role
Job Title: Manual Tester Job Description: Responsibilities: Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements. Collaborate with project stakeholders to define testing objectives, scope, and deliverables. Test Execution: Execute manual test cases to identify software defects and ensure the overall quality of the product. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing as needed. Record and document test results, and track defects to closure. Defect Reporting: Clearly and concisely report defects, issues, and observations to the development team. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and understanding of testing requirements. Test Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing status reports. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing. Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with established testing standards and guidelines. Participate in reviews and inspections of project deliverables to ensure quality standards are met. Communication Skills: Provide transparent and concise updates on testing progress and issues to project stakeholders. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute insights to improve overall product quality. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Robust understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices. Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems.
