Principal Data Strategy Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for troubleshooting user-reported issues across applications and SQL data sources. You will diagnose and resolve data integrity and ingestion problems, implement short-term fixes with rollback plans for safety, and optimize stored procedures for stable data transformations. Additionally, you will update C# ingestion code to improve pipeline reliability, design and maintain ETL workflows for curated data layers, enforce data validation and monitoring standards, document data lineage and operational playbooks, collaborate with engineers and product teams to resolve issues quickly, and communicate incident status and improvements to leadership. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. - 13-17 years of programming experience with strong CS fundamentals. - Expert SQL and performance tuning. - Proficiency in stored procedures and safe operational updates. - Hands-on C# experience for ingestion pipelines. - Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps. - Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. - Excellent communication across technical and non-technical teams. - Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
