About the role
Role Overview: At Roche, you will be joining the Customer Engagement Platforms and Services function as a Custom Software Developer in the Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) within Roche Digital Technology. Your role will involve supporting the design, configuration, deployment, and sustaining of Salesforce software solutions tailored to business requirements and objectives. You will contribute as an active project member within global product teams, manage software delivery processes, optimize software quality, engage in stakeholder communications, assess technical feasibility, support cross-platform integration, and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Support Salesforce Engineering by designing, configuring, deploying, and sustaining Salesforce software solutions tailored to business requirements. - Contribute to Global Projects as an active project member within global product teams. - Implement Delivery Processes by managing transitions from sandbox development to production deployment using CI/CD tools and SFDX. - Optimize Software Quality by improving existing software quality management through Apex Unit Testing and detailed code reviews. - Manage Stakeholder Communications by identifying and communicating with stakeholders to maintain a clear view of components within larger systems. - Assess Technical Feasibility by providing reliable technical feasibility assessments and contributing to requirement refinements. - Support Cross-Platform Integration by applying knowledge of cloud platforms to facilitate seamless integrations. - Engage in Knowledge Sharing by participating in organizational knowledge-sharing initiatives such as tech universities, conferences, and Communities of Practice (CoPs). Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical domain. - 3+ years of progressive work experience as an active project contributor in software engineering within the Salesforce ecosystem. - Expertise in frontend, backend, and full-stack development tools including LWC, Apex, and SOQL. - Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, sharing models, security settings, and interaction of Sales, Service, and Community Clouds. - Strong collaborative problem-solving skills, ability to provide and seek constructive feedback, communicate technical risks, and evaluate alternative problem-solving approaches. - Growth-oriented mindset with a commitment to personal development, staying updated on technological trends, and active participation in professional communities. - Understanding of the implications of technical decisions in regulated environments, with experience in regulated industry (e.g., GxP) and Salesforce Developer/Admin certifications considered a strong plus.
