About the role

Key Responsibilities: - Design components and subsystems for diesel and gas generator sets. - Assist in integrating components, subsystems, and complete systems for generator set applications. - Conduct basic calculations for sizing and selecting components and subsystems. - Develop detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and assembly layouts using Creo. - Handle engineering changes and manage design data using Windchill PLM. - Maintain part release management in the PLM system. - Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and component master data in SAP. - Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate and manufacturable designs. - Perform DFMEA and participate in design reviews to ensure product performance reliability. - Collaborate with suppliers to optimize sheet metal designs for manufacturability. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness. - Apply relevant industry codes and standards such as ISO, NFPA, EPA, IBC, ASME, etc. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Comprehensive knowledge of diesel and gas generator set systems, major components, and subsystems. - Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling using Creo. - Experience with Windchill PLM and working knowledge of SAP. - Deep understanding of sheet metal design processes, material selection, and metal fabrication methodologies.
