Founding Engineer

About the internship: Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include: 1. Work directly with the founder to design, build, and ship end-to-end features for an all-in-one hospitality platform, including property setup, reservations, front desk operations, billing, channel distribution, and restaurant POS. 2. Own features as complete vertical slices, from database schema and API design to user interface development, rather than working only on isolated tasks. 3. Translate real-world hotel operations and customer feedback into clear product requirements, and challenge requirements when they are not practical or aligned with the product vision. 4. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and actively participate in code reviews with strong attention to detail. 5. Contribute to product and UX decisions, including layouts, user flows, copy, and the small details that create a premium software experience. 6. Debug and resolve issues reported by live customers while improving the reliability, performance, and observability of the features you develop. 7. Explore and apply AI capabilities where they can meaningfully improve the product experience for end users. 8. Quickly learn and adapt to unfamiliar tools, programming languages, and problem domains while working independently with appropriate support. 9. Write and maintain clear documentation to ensure that future contributors can understand and work effectively with the codebase.
