About the role
As an SMT Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and developing SMT assembly processes to enhance efficiency and yield while reducing production costs. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining, developing, and maintaining SMT assembly processes to improve efficiency and yield - Analyzing failures, managing rejects, and resolving production bottlenecks - Inspecting solder joints and machine accuracy - Setting parameters for machines, such as printer, mounter, and reflow oven temperatures and speeds - Coordinating new product launches and performing DFM reviews - Managing the introduction of new materials and equipment - Ensuring the reliability of SMT equipment through cleaning and calibrating - Creating and maintaining technical documentation like process flows and work instructions - Evaluating new components and special manufacturing procedures Your qualifications should include: - Deep understanding of SMT equipment and solder paste - Ability to resolve complex technical issues - Proficiency with AOI systems - Programming skills for pick & place machines and AOI systems In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you will benefit from: - Maintaining and optimizing automated SMT equipment for improved quality control - Reducing material waste and optimizing machine feed for cost efficiency - Optimizing reflow oven profiles and component placement speeds for enhanced throughput - Providing crucial expertise in technical troubleshooting and failure analysis for high yield rates Joining this company will provide you with an opportunity to work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams to drive success in the SMT assembly processes.
