About the role
As an Offensive Security Intern at Rosche Systems, you will have the exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern penetration testing. Your role will involve researching and experimenting with the use of AI in offensive security to enhance, automate, or transform penetration testing workflows. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in conducting penetration testing across web, mobile, and network environments. - Explore and test modern attack surfaces including cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerized systems (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs, and microservices. - Test AI/ML models and LLM-based applications for potential security risks. - Research and experiment with AI-driven approaches to penetration testing, including automating reconnaissance and vulnerability discovery. - Generate and optimize attack payloads using AI tools and methodologies. - Use AI for anomaly detection and exploit development in security testing scenarios. - Evaluate security risks in AI systems such as prompt injection and model leakage. - Analyze how attackers may leverage AI and propose defensive or testing strategies. - Support vulnerability assessments and help validate security findings. - Contribute to internal tools, scripts, and automation for security testing. Qualifications Required: - Strong curiosity and willingness to learn by doing. - Interest in the intersection of AI and cybersecurity. - Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, and web technologies. - Familiarity with common security concepts (OWASP Top 10, authentication flaws, etc.). - Exposure to tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or similar (preferred but not required).
