About the role
As a Senior Network & Security Engineer at Roundglass, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing highly available network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include: - Installing, configuring, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting network hardware globally/remotely. - Ensuring enterprise-wide network scalability and performance through monitoring, logging, packet analysis, and event correlation. - Creating designs for network infrastructure and specifications for individual devices and communications circuits. - Maintaining documentation of network design to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. - Designing and executing network upgrades to support company growth. - Updating and tuning corporate firewalls and DMZ to enhance security. - Ensuring network compliance with security standards and regulations. - Deploying firmware updates in a timely manner to mitigate risks. - Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies. - Developing project roadmaps, implementing project timelines, and recommending new network technologies. - Collaborating with vendors, operational users, and technical personnel in a cross-team capacity. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8+ years of experience in a broad scope Network and Security Engineer role. - Experience with Cisco Firewalls, Cisco Switch, or Palo Alto Networks preferred. - Knowledge of firewalls, load balancers, VPN technologies, monitoring systems, and Wi-Fi. - Experience with AWS, EIGRP, IP SLA routing protocols, and dynamic routing protocols like OSPF and BGP. - Understanding of internet architectures, VOIP support systems, and scripting (e.g., PHP). - Cisco Certification (CCNA or CCNP) is a plus. - Limited travel required, including internationally. - Ability to provide support during off-hours and incident situations.
