About the role
As a Windows Desktop Migration Engineer at RSNG Info Solutions, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless transition of users to new Azure-hosted desktops. With your 5 to 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years of Windows desktop migration expertise, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and validating migrations. Your daily tasks will involve troubleshooting issues, coordinating fixes with partner teams, and effectively communicating with users across various roles. Key Responsibilities: - Execute user migrations following the factory playbook, tracking progress and outcomes - Validate end-user functionality on NDS.Next desktops including M365 Suite, Firmwide common applications, business apps, web applications, and line-of-business tools - Perform application testing, defect reproduction, and regression checks before and after migration - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, applications, and desktop environment configuration, with helpdesk team routing issues - Write clear user updates and technical notes, manage expectations, and drive closure - Provide structured reporting on your assigned workload including status, risks, and blockers Must-have Skills: - Strong familiarity with Windows desktop environments and application behavior - Proficiency in cloud application connectivity and access management, core networking concepts, and operational troubleshooting - Python or Java coding proficiency for automation and diagnostics - Strong debugging and problem isolation skills, with knowledge of logs, configs, and repro steps - Strong application testing knowledge with a focus on test design, validation, and regression mindset - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences - Strong personal project management skills, following processes, managing your queue, and providing accurate reporting Good-to-have Skills: - Knowledge of AI-assisted troubleshooting or automation concepts - Prior application development experience, including building, supporting, or modernizing apps - Engagement style involving high-volume, user-facing execution with clear daily outcomes - Ability to work independently within a standardized model, escalating appropriately when needed - Comfortable partnering across engineering and operations teams At RSNG Info Solutions, we prioritize customer needs and focus on delivering quality solutions that meet our client's requirements.
