Linux System Engineer (PXE/NetBoot) Job Summary We are looking for a Linux System Engineer with strong expertise in PXE/NetBoot environments, Linux system administration, networking, and OS customization. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining a secure NetBoot infrastructure for large-scale examination environments. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with Ubuntu/Linux servers, boot processes, network services, shell scripting, and troubleshooting low-level operating system issues. Key Responsibilities Build and customize Linux boot images (Ubuntu, Debian, Alpine, etc.).Develop automated image creation and deployment processes.Configure Linux kernel boot parameters and initramfs.Optimize boot performance and reduce startup time.Troubleshoot boot failures, kernel issues, and hardware compatibility.Implement secure boot processes and system hardening.Integrate NetBoot infrastructure with centralized management servers.Configure and maintain network services and firewall rules.Monitor server health, logs, and performance.
