Role & responsibilities Node.js Developer (7-12 Years Experience) About the Role Were seeking a Node.js Developer to join a highly competent, fast-paced engineering team. In this role, youll design and build scalable backend systems with a strong focus on API architecture and up-to-date deployment practices. Youll collaborate closely with experienced engineers while also taking ownership of key features and contributing to technical decisions. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js - Build robust, secure, and well-documented RESTful APIs and microservices - Define and maintain API contracts, versioning, and best practices - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions - Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments (AWS/Azure) - Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker (Kubernetes is a plus) - Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability - Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms - Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards - Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments Required Skills & Qualifications - 7-12 years of professional experience with Node.js - Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) - Strong API development experience (RESTful design, versioning, and security best practices) - Solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture - Hands-on experience with API documentation tools (OpenAPI/Swagger) - Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure - Experience with containerization technologies (Docker; Kubernetes is a plus) - Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other NoSQL systems - Proficiency with Git and modern development workflows Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Python for backend services, scripting, or data processing - Strong experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices - Exposure to microservices and distributed systems - Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools What Were Looking For - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work effectively in a high-performing, collaborative team - Growing ownership mindset with the ability to handle features end-to-end - Clear communication skills, especially around API design and integrations - Willingness to learn and contribute beyond immediate responsibilities .
