Infotainment Feature Owner

JD- Feature Owner to lead the definition, development, and delivery of next-generation Infotainment and Connectivity features. In this role, you will act as the bridge between product management, engineering, and validation teams. You will own the entire lifecycle of high-impact connected featuresspecifically Wi-Fi Hotspot, Connected Navigation, and Connected Voice Assistants/Online Voice Servicesensuring a seamless, intuitive, and cutting-edge user experience from concept to production. Minimum 36 years of experience as a Feature Owner, Product Owner, or Systems Engineer in Automotive Infotainment or Connected Car domains. Position Overview Ford is seeking an experienced Infotainment Feature Owner to lead systems-level engineering for infotainment features across the vehicle lineup from early concept development through production launch. This role serves as the primary technical owner responsible for feature definition, cross-module integration, and lifecycle management for current and future Ford and Lincoln vehicle programs. Key Responsibilities Feature Development & Lifecycle Management Lead end-to-end development of new infotainment features at the systems engineering level, from early concept through production, including feature upgrade and migration planning.Serve as lead feature owner engineer across all future model vehicle programs.Coordinate development of distributed features (electrical and mechanical) spanning all Ford and Lincoln vehicles.Systems Architecture & Integration Develop high-level network, wiring, and power distribution topologies, schematics, and block diagrams.Allocate features and functions across electronic modules and subsystems to meet cost, quality, and performance targets.Review existing system designs to identify opportunities for cost reduction or quality improvement.Documentation & Functional Safety Develop feature specifications, quality documentation (Quality History, Parameter Diagrams, Feature FMEA), and verification plans.Develop item definitions, conduct HARA (Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment), and define system goals, functional safety, and technical safety requirements in compliance with the ISO 26262 standard.Create and manage CAN signal definitions, including transmitter/receiver identification, data rates, frequency, and enumerations.Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with program teams, core engineers, and functional groups to balance competing requirements and deliver optimized solutions.Engage cross-functional teams including UX, HMI, Connectivity, and Marketing to guide feature development with a strong focus on customer experience.Build and maintain relationships with the supply base to stay current on emerging technologies and implementation opportunities.Required Skills & Experience Electrical ECU design and developmentFeature/function development and ownershipCAN diagnostics and signal creationFamiliarity with ISO 26262 functional safety standards and processesStrong cross-functional collaboration and communication skillsExperience with network architecture, wiring, and power distribution design JD- Feature Owner to lead the definition, development, and delivery of next-generation Infotainment and Connectivity features.
