Key Responsibilities As a Mechanical Engineer, you will: Design & Development Develop and analyze static and dynamic mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging designs. Ensure designs meet all mechanical performance criteria, including load and vibration requirements. Generate innovative solutions for new system designs and drive continuous improvement for existing systems. Technical Expertise Conduct feasibility studies, performance testing, and risk assessments for new and modified designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer needs and project requirements. Documentation & Collaboration Provide critical design information to drafting teams for documentation. Review detailed engineering drawings, ensuring specification compliance. Support prototype fabrication and direct support personnel as needed throughout the design implementation process. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Two (2) or more years of professional experience in mechanical design. Demonstrated design experience, including hands-on work with SolidWorks. Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CREO and ANSYS. Familiarity with Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
