Head - Engineering

As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for owning end-to-end technology execution across IoT, cloud, data, ML systems, and applications. Your main tasks will include: - Taking hands-on architectural ownership of critical systems and making technical decisions - Executing technically and designing platform architecture across various systems - Developing resilient systems that can operate under imperfect network and field conditions - Setting engineering standards for reliability, security, scalability, and testability - Building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering team - Collaborating closely with Product and Operations to translate domain knowledge into software systems In your role, you will be building robust device-to-cloud and edge-enabled systems for industrial deployments, scalable backend services, data and ML pipelines, and automated testing frameworks. You will also be responsible for fostering a culture of ownership, operational excellence, and clear decision-making within the team. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10+ years of experience in building and scaling complex systems - Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP - Understanding of IoT, edge computing, and automated equipment control systems - Experience deploying ML systems in production - Proven leadership of engineering teams in startups or fast-growing companies - Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders In this position, you will lead the engineering efforts to prevent water infrastructure failures by utilizing real-world data for automated, reliable operations. Your work will ensure that water resources are efficiently managed and not wasted due to human error or lack of visibility.
