Job Description: Senior Windchill Developer Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 6–8 Years Timings : 2:00 PM--11:00 PM IST Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Windchill Developer with 6–8 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering systems team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality PLM solutions using PTC Windchill. You will play a critical role in optimizing our product development lifecycle, specifically focusing on complex configuration, customization, and the seamless integration of BOM management processes. Key Responsibilities System Architecture & Development: Lead the design and development of custom Windchill solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and stability. Advanced Customization: Architect and implement complex Windchill customizations using Java, JCA, Type and Attribute Management, and Workflow development. BOM Management: Engineer robust solutions for EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) to MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) transformation processes, ensuring data integrity and synchronization. Options & Variants: Configure and maintain sophisticated Options and Variants structures to support modular product design and order configuration. System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Windchill with other enterprise systems (ERP, MES, etc.). Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, performance bottlenecks, and data migration challenges. Required Technical Skills Core Windchill: 6–8 years of expert-level knowledge of Windchill (including compatibility with Windchill+) architecture, API usage, and core business objects. Development Stack: Strong proficiency in Java, J2EE, XML, JSP, JavaScript, and SQL. Data Models: Deep expertise in Windchill Type and Attribute Management, Workflow Templates, and Life Cycle configurations. Process Expertise: Extensive experience in PLM business processes, specifically within EBOM/MBOM transformation and options and variant configuration. (Partslink, MPMLink, PDMLink) Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points) ThingWorx: Practical experience developing or integrating ThingWorx with Windchill for IoT-enabled PLM or digital twin applications. Cloud/SaaS: Experience with Windchill+ or cloud-hosted PLM environments. Integration: Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, and Windchill ESI (Enterprise System Integration). Knowledge in Microsoft Azure Devops for deployment related and managing product data. Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed global team.
