As a Business Analyst in the clinical, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences domain, your role will involve collaborating with clinical stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. You will be responsible for understanding and mapping clinical workflows, healthcare processes, and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will conduct requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process analysis sessions. Your tasks will include preparing business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), user stories, workflows, and process diagrams. It will be your responsibility to translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development and QA teams. You will also support the implementation of clinical applications, healthcare platforms, and digital transformation initiatives. Analyzing system gaps, process inefficiencies, and recommending improvement opportunities will be part of your role. You will work closely with QA teams during test planning, UAT, and validation activities. Furthermore, you will assist in change management, training documentation, and end-user support. Ensuring that solutions comply with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and data privacy requirements will be crucial. Your participation in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and stakeholder reviews will be expected. Lastly, you will prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for project and business updates. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or a related field. You should have 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the specified domains. A strong understanding of clinical operations, clinical trials, healthcare systems, or patient management workflows is essential. Experience in requirement gathering, business process analysis, and documentation is necessary. Familiarity with healthcare standards and regulations such as HIPAA, GxP, ICD, HL7, or related compliance frameworks is required. Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, or other business analysis tools is expected. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for this role. You should be able to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams. Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project methodologies is necessary. Experience in user acceptance testing (UAT) and stakeholder management is also required. Preferred qualifications for this position include exposure to EDC, CTMS, EMR/EHR, Pharmacovigilance, or clinical data management systems. Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, or healthcare analytics platforms is considered an advantage. Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certification is preferred. Experience working with global healthcare or pharmaceutical organizations is a plus. Familiarity with digital health technologies and healthcare transformation initiatives is beneficial.
