About the role
A glimpse of SAN Automotive SAN Automotive manufactures high-precision sheet-metal stampings and fabrication tooling for automotive, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery. We execute at scale and with discipline. This role sits inside our new AI product initiative , incubated and owned by SAN Automotive (idea shared under NDA). The role (why this is cool) Own the end-to-end design : turn a scope into a roadmap, craft the mobile app UX/UI , build the marketing website , and create the brand identity (logo, colors, type, visuals). We value creativity + practicality —bold ideas, clean systems, and designs that ship. First major project Totally fine —show us skill, taste, and hustle. What you'll do Translate a Scope of Work into a design roadmap (flows, milestones, acceptance criteria). Design the mobile app end-to-end (onboarding core loop paywall/settings), including empty/loading/error states and dark mode . Build a Design System v1 in Figma (components, variants, tokens) and a clickable prototype with micro-interactions. Create the brand identity (logo, color system, typography, iconography, imagery style) and a brand kit . Design & build the website (marketing/landing) in a no-code web tool; set up basic analytics and forms. Present your work clearly to founders/stakeholders; partner with engineering for pixel-faithful handoff and QA. Must-have skills (no minimum years required) Strong command of UI/UX tools and fundamentals: layout, hierarchy, spacing, grids, color blending , contrast/accessibility, and typography. Figma mastery (Auto Layout, Variants, Variables/Tokens, Interactive Components, Libraries, Inspect) + presentation skills . Ability to design and build a responsive website (see tools below) and craft a logo/brand system from scratch. A portfolio (student/self-initiated is okay) that shows end-to-end thinking and taste. Nice-to-have superpowers Motion design for product/brand (micro-interactions, Lottie/Rive). Data-viz sense (simple, legible cards/charts). Basic understanding of Flutter/React Native constraints (helps dev handoff). Comfortable writing short, clear microcopy (buttons, hints, empty states). Toolstack (be fluent in several of these) Product & Systems: Figma, FigJam, Tokens Studio, Zeplin (optional) Brand & Graphics: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign; Canva (for quick collateral) Motion/Interaction: After Effects, Rive , LottieFiles, ProtoPie, Principle, Origami Studio Web (no-/low-code): Webflow , Framer Sites , Squarespace, WordPress+Elementor (bonus: basic HTML/CSS) 3D/Visuals (optional): Spline, Blender Testing/Accessibility: Maze, Useberry/Lookback, Hotjar (web), Stark/Contrast checkers Collab & Presentations: Notion, Linear/Jira, Slack, Loom, Pitch , Gamma , Google Slides/PowerPoint What success looks like (first 30–45 days) Week 1–2: Flow map, wireframes, brand directions; Design System v1 . Week 3: Hi-fi app prototype (light/dark) + 5–8 quick tests and iterations. Week 4–6: Live marketing website (Webflow/Framer), brand kit, dev-ready specs; build matches Figma 95% fidelity. Work setup & perks Full-time, on-site (WFO) at our office (location shared during screening). Close collaboration with the founder and build team; fast reviews; big learning scope. Competitive salary; stable parent company; real product ownership.
