About the role
Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of test professionals to define and execute the testing strategy and policies. Bring up the new ideas and drive test strategy using effective tools and ensuring standards for system, apps and software testing. Develop and implement best practices for testing methodologies, test automation, and performance testing across projects and teams. Champion a shift-left testing mindset, ensuring quality is embedded early in the software development lifecycle. Promote continuous improvement in testing, enhancing both quality and efficiency. Propose and implement test data automation. Drive the adoption of Agile or DevOps testing practices, ensuring they are tailored to the specific needs of the organization and projects. Provide guidance and coaching on best practices in manual and automated testing, defect management, and quality assurance methodologies. Oversee resource allocation, ensuring the right testing talent is applied to the appropriate projects. Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and support career development for team members. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in testing, and introduce relevant changes to improve processes.
