Produce performance summary reports and communicate with project stakeholders Must have Skills BSc in computer science or equivalent 4+ years’ experience as a performance engineer Good hands-on experience with JMeter or similar Performance testing tool Experience with designing different types of performance strategies Proven experience with DBs querying Experience with Batch and Web Services Performance testing Experience with AppDynamics/ Dynatrace or similar APM tools – Advantage Experience with profiling tools like Your Kit or similar profiling tools – Advantage Experience with Java programming language – Advantage Experience with Linux/Unix platforms including monitoring – Advantage. Experience in the Insurance industry – Advantage Ability to travel according to demand (Approx. 15% of the time) AI Tools & Skills Sapiens requires all engineers in this role to actively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent) as productivity accelerators throughout the performance engineering lifecycle. The following are the expected areas of AI-assisted work: AWR/ASH Report Interpretation – Use AI tools to interpret Oracle AWR and ASH reports, identify top SQL consumers, and receive tuning recommendations for batch jobs such as Billing Batch, RI Process Coordinator, and GL Export. Proactive Batch Monitoring – Use AI-enhanced APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace AI/Davis engine) to proactively detect batch performance anomalies, resource saturation, and regression patterns before they are escalated — shifting from reactive to predictive performance monitoring. SQL Query Tuning & Script Generation – Use AI to analyze slow SQL queries, suggest index strategies, generate FK disable/enable scripts, and draft Oracle compression estimation scripts, reducing manual effort on repetitive DB tasks. Test Script Generation & Coverage – Use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to generate and review performance test scripts for batch jobs, accelerate scripting of new test scenarios, and improve test coverage through intelligent test case suggestion. Test Data Preparation – Use AI to generate data masking scripts, data exclusion queries, and environment-cloning runbooks for migrated datasets, ensuring clean batch testing starting points without corrupted or cut-off records. Performance Test Strategy & Planning – Use AI to draft performance test plans, define KPI thresholds for batch windows, generate test scenario structures, and review test coverage for completeness before presenting to stakeholders. Root Cause Analysis Support – Use AI to correlate batch execution logs, SQL wait events, and monitoring metrics, accelerating root cause identification for issues such as locking contention, I/O saturation, or application-layer bottlenecks. Predictive Analytics & Capacity Planning – Apply AI-driven predictive analytics to forecast batch processing trends, identify gradual performance degradation across releases, and support capacity planning decisions based on historical test data — enabling proactive infrastructure sizing before go-live. Performance Report Generation – Use AI to draft executive-level performance cycle reports, summarize batch execution results, produce before/after comparison narratives, and create structured stakeholder-facing summaries aligned with Sapiens reporting standards. Defect Writing & Documentation – Use AI to compose high-quality defect descriptions with clear steps to reproduce, supporting data, and root cause hypotheses; generate runbooks and knowledge-base articles for recurring batch issues. Domain Ramp-Up – Use AI to quickly understand RI/SRM business processes (Reinsurance cycles, GL reconciliation, billing workflows) by querying AI tools for explanations, reducing the onboarding time required to become effective in the insurance back-office domain. Architecture Review Assistance – Use AI to review sizing documents, environment proposals, and batch architecture diagrams, identifying potential performance risks and generating structured technical review questions before meetings with architects and developers. Key Responsibilities: Capable of working independently, highly motivated, and organized. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Proven ability to drill down into Performance results and complete deep-dive root cause analysis. Good verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to learn new tools & technologies quickly.
