About the role
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer specializing in automation with Playwright. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, experience in building robust automation frameworks, and a proven track record of integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities Develop and Maintain Automation Scripts: Create reusable and maintainable automated test scripts using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred). Test Planning: Design and implement test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing. BDD Frameworks: Work with frameworks such as Cucumber to support behavior-driven development. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Collaboration: Partner with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery. Defect Management: Identify, log, and track software defects; assist in root cause analysis and debugging. Cross-Browser Testing: Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and platforms. Best Practices: Advocate for automation best practices and maintain test documentation. Cloud-Based Platforms: Utilize cloud-based test execution platforms such as Sauce Labs and BrowserStack. Additional Testing: Apply knowledge of performance and security testing concepts. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Experience: 4+ years in test automation, with proven expertise in Playwright. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (Python is a plus). Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, SuperTest). Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
