About the role
As a Python Backend / API / DevOps Engineer/Architect for our client in Chennai, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in backend development, API platforms, and DevOps practices to build scalable enterprise applications and contribute to automation, integration, and platform engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and develop backend APIs/services using Flask, Gunicorn, and other production-grade Python frameworks. - Manage Python environment, virtual environments, dependency handling, and PYPI package maintenance. - Utilize Python development tools such as Jupyter, Eclipse, Spyder, or equivalent. - Work in Linux environments and utilize version control (Git/SVN) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible for automated deployments. - Proficiency in bash scripting for automation and system orchestration. - Handle data preparation, Python data structures, and Pandas effectively. - Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including strong SQL fundamentals and ORM experience with SQLAlchemy. - Design, deploy, and support enterprise-scale REST/SOAP web services. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of professional Python development with strong advanced object-oriented design skills. - Hands-on experience in Linux environments and version control systems. - Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and CI/CD tooling. - Proficiency in bash scripting, data structures, and Pandas. - Strong experience in designing and deploying REST/SOAP web services.
