For more information, please visit www.sats.com.sg The Role: We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist in our Global Data Science team. The Senior Data Scientist is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading the design and development of advanced predictive and optimization models that drive operational and strategic decision-making across the enterprise. This role focuses on solving complex, high-impact problems in areas such as demand forecasting, resource optimization, and simulation. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and AI engineers to translate real-world operational challenges into scalable mathematical and machine learning solutions. This position plays a critical role in enabling data-driven operations and forms a core part of the organization's AI-driven transformation. Location: Global (India, Singapore, US, EU) Some international travel may be required. Key Responsibilities Advanced Modeling & Problem Solving Lead development of advanced forecasting models (time series, probabilistic, hierarchical) Design and implement optimization models (MIP, LP, heuristics) Develop simulation frameworks for operational decision-making Solve complex, ambiguous business problems using data science techniques AI/ML Solution Development Build scalable ML models for production use Collaborate with engineering teams for deployment and monitoring Ensure model robustness, explainability, and performance Business Impact & Stakeholder Engagement Translate business requirements into analytical solutions Partner with operations and product teams to deliver measurable outcomes Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders Technical Leadership Mentor junior data scientists Establish best practices in modeling and experimentation Contribute to reusable model frameworks and libraries Educational Qualifications: MSc / PhD in Data Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field Ongoing commitment to training and professional development in AIML, Aviation Domain, Cargo handling, Ground handling milestones, Ground Freight and Food solutions. Relevant Skills and Experience: 8–12+ years in data science or applied AI Strong expertise in: Time series forecasting, Optimization (MIP/LP) & Simulation techniques Proficiency in Python (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, OR-Tools) Experience deploying models in production environments PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS & BEHAVIOURS: Strong analytical thinking Problem-solving mindset Ability to work in ambiguous environments Strong communication skills
