We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our engineering organization, define long-term technical strategy, and scale both our platform and our teams. Company website: https://marketing.sav.com/ Role Overview As Head of Engineering , you will own the end-to-end engineering function — technology strategy, architecture, execution, and team growth. You will work closely with Product and Leadership to shape how systems are designed, built, and scaled. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong architectural depth alongside organizational leadership. You will establish engineering excellence, mentor senior engineers, and drive adoption of AI across the development lifecycle to improve speed, quality, and innovation. You will play a key role in building a high-performance engineering culture focused on ownership, scalability, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Engineering Strategy & Leadership Define and execute the company's engineering vision aligned with business objectives. Lead, mentor, and scale the engineering team across front-end and back-end functions. Establish clear engineering processes, delivery standards, and performance expectations. Partner with Product leadership to translate business goals into technical roadmaps. Architecture & Platform Ownership Own system architecture across application, infrastructure, and data layers. Ensure scalability, reliability, security, and long-term maintainability of platforms. Drive technology selection, platform evolution, and architectural best practices. Continuously manage and reduce technical debt. Engineering Excellence Implement strong engineering practices including: Code reviews and quality standards CI/CD and deployment workflows Testing and reliability engineering Incident response and postmortem processes Improve engineering velocity while maintaining high quality standards. AI-Driven Engineering Lead adoption of AI tools across development workflows. Enable teams to leverage AI for coding, testing, documentation, and automation. Identify opportunities to integrate AI capabilities into core products. Team Development & Culture Hire, mentor, and grow high-performing engineers and future technical leaders. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Improve onboarding, documentation, and knowledge-sharing practices. Technology Stack Back End: Python, FastAPI Front End: React, Next.js Data: MySQL, NoSQL Infrastructure: Kubernetes (K8s), containerization, CI/CD pipelines AI: LLM-powered development and automation workflows What We're Looking For 10+ years of software engineering experience , with significant leadership responsibility. Proven experience leading engineering teams as a Head of Engineering, Engineering Director, or Senior Engineering Manager. Strong hands-on experience designing scalable distributed systems. Deep familiarity with Python-based backend systems and modern frontend frameworks. Experience with cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and production-scale deployments. Demonstrated ability to improve engineering processes and delivery outcomes. Experience driving AI adoption within engineering or product workflows is highly preferred.
