Job Description for Manager/Sr. Manager- Testing & QA (AMC) Job Title: Manager/ Sr. Manager - Testing & QA Job Location: SBIFM Corporate Office Role Description: The Testing & QA professional is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of all technology applications within the Asset Management Company. The role involves leading manual and automation testing initiatives, establishing robust regression testing frameworks, and driving quality assurance best practices across systems such as transaction platforms, investor servicing, and reporting tools. The incumbent will work closely with IT, business, and product teams to ensure defect-free releases and continuous improvement in testing processes. Responsibilities Test Planning & Execution Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases Perform manual testing including functional, integration, and system testing Ensure adherence to QA standards, processes, and documentation Automation Testing Design and develop automation frameworks and test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, UFT, or equivalent Identify and automate repetitive and high-impact test scenarios Integrate automation testing with release cycles and CI/CD pipelines Regression Testing Plan and execute end-to-end regression testing cycles across applications Maintain and enhance regression test suites to ensure system stability during releases Ensure minimal production defects through rigorous regression validation Defect Management Log, track, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA, QC, or similar Coordinate with development teams for timely defect resolution Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions Stakeholder Coordination Collaborate with business, product, and IT teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria Provide regular updates on testing status, risks, and quality metrics Support UAT, production releases, and post-release validations Quality Assurance & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies Implement best practices for test coverage, efficiency, and quality metrics Promote a strong quality culture across teams Key Skills & Competencies: Strong expertise in manual and automation testing Hands-on experience in regression testing frameworks Proficiency in testing tools (Selenium, UFT, TestNG, etc.) Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and data validation testing Understanding of AMC / Mutual Fund systems and processes (preferred) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Qualifications & Experience B.E. / B.Tech / MCA / MBA (IT or equivalent) 5-10 years of experience in QA / Testing roles Prior experience in AMC / BFSI domain preferred
