As Instrumentation and Controls Lead Engineer, you are responsible for leading the instrumentation discipline to deliver safe, reliable, and cost effective engineering solutions that meet project objectives and drive overall project success and sustainability. Responsibilities You are accountable for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work and optimization of the engineering and design within the discipline scope of the specifications and client requirements, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations. You are accountable for proactively planning and completing discipline activities and deliverables within the agreed time frame and budget, identifying risks, changes, opportunities and deviations, assessing their impact and define mitigation and recovery actions and reporting the status to the Area EPM and EPM (Engineering Project Manager). You are responsible for defining and managing the discipline resource needs for your project, workload distribution, providing technical leadership and guidance to the discipline team. You are responsible for overseeing vendor and subcontracted engineering activities related to your discipline, ensuring timely review and approval of the documentation and leading the resolution of technical queries, comments and site support issues. You ensure that the scope of work for the discipline is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements and SBM's internal requirements. You are responsible for capturing the lessons learnt, understanding the impact of change within and across project system boundaries and support engineering close-out. You are responsible for managing the discipline interfaces including third parties where applicable (clients, subcontractors, vendors, classification societies and regulatory bodies).
