About the role
As an ASIC Program Manager at the cutting-edge storage startup in Silicon Valley, your role will involve driving complex ASIC and SoC programs from concept through tape-out and post-silicon enablement. Working closely with architecture, design, verification, physical design, validation, and other cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of high-performance ASIC programs. Your strong technical depth, program leadership, and excellent communication skills will be crucial in managing dependencies and risks across globally distributed teams. Qualifications and Skillset Requirements: - BE/BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (Masters preferred) with 10+ years of industry experience in ASIC / SoC development - Strong understanding of ASIC / SoC design flows - Proven experience managing end-to-end ASIC programs from architecture to tape-out - Ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams such as Architecture, RTL, DV, PD, DFT, Validation, and FW - Solid technical background in digital design, verification, and ASIC implementation and validation concepts - Working knowledge of CPU based SoC architecture, SSD controller designs, package design, Performance and Power is a plus - Experience in Project planning, tracking schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and execution metrics - Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in fast-paced environments, across teams and geographies Roles and Responsibilities: - Own and manage ASIC / SoC program execution from definition to production - Create and maintain detailed program plans, schedules, milestones, risks, deliverables, and dependencies - Drive alignment across various functional teams like architecture, design, verification, physical design, DFT, firmware, and validation teams - Track execution status, identify risks, and drive mitigation plans proactively - Ensure quality and readiness for IP, subsystem, and SoC tape-outs - Lead technical program reviews and cross-functional design checkpoints - Facilitate decision-making on scope, trade-offs, and priorities based on technical and schedule impact - Coordinate with external partners, vendors, and offshore teams as required - Support post-tape-out activities including bring-up, silicon debug, and validation - Continuously improve program management processes and execution efficiency - Provide leadership, mentoring, and clear communication across teams to ensure successful delivery As an ASIC Program Manager at the cutting-edge storage startup in Silicon Valley, your role will involve driving complex ASIC and SoC programs from concept through tape-out and post-silicon enablement.
