Design Manager - Concrete Equipment

Responsible for Technology Design Innovation for Concrete Equipment. Design calculation, release of manufacturing drawings, Special Project New product development (NPD) for Concrete Equipment Product. Must Have Skills: New Technology Product design and development for RD department. Generate new concept, ideas and improving concrete product performance. Preparation of 3D model, weldment drawing, assembly drawing using SolidEdge Software, bought out items and Bill of Material and release process activities. Co-ordination with other product design group for brig the technology. Coordination with production in shop floor during new product development. Problem solving through determine root cause analysis approach (Like 8D, Fish bone diagram etc.) and testing activities. Design calculation for new product current product. Reviewing and freezing the technical specification and drawings of OEM components. Analysis and prepare alternate for bought out items on required areas. Understand the Market Customer requirements, verify the new product technology requirement with Customer s requirements. Plan monitor the performance of technology design team. Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal department personnel, customers, vendors and senior management. Good communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exposure of design patent design registration for equipment. Nice to Have Skills: Hands on experience in designing mechanical concrete equipment by design principles and validation using FE program. 3D Modelling, 2D drafting skills, arriving BOM. Hydraulic System design, selection of components, routing system design. Basic knowledge on any CAE/ FEA software. Roles and Responsibilities: Study and Implement New product technology design, Design improvements for concrete equipment. Design Calculation for New development and validation by FE analysis. Concrete Equipment technology innovation updates. Prepare update Bill of material, Product specification, Power setting, Test requirement test data. Member of Product CFT team. Study and prepare alternate for bought out items, import substitution leading to cost reduction. Exposure of design patent design registration for equipment. Technical support to Vendors, Customers and Internal departments. Reviewing and freezing the technical specification and drawings of OEM components. Generate new ideas and improving Design productivity. Co-ordination for Proto Assembly at shop-floor and Testing. Preparation of 3D model 2D drawing etc.
