Information Technology Devops /Site Reliability Consultant Posted 6 months ago Location: Remote Job Schedule: Full Time (40 Hours/Week) Salary: $83387.00/Annum Job duties: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes for DBT-based data and analytics platforms. Design and manage DBT Core and DBT Cloud environments on Microsoft Azure, supporting complex data transformation workflows across development, testing, and production environments. Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or Azure Bicep to provision, configure, and version Azure cloud infrastructure in a repeatable and auditable manner. Integrate DBT workflows with Azure data services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage, ensuring scalable and reliable data pipelines. Automate environment provisioning, deployment validation, and release management across multiple environments to support continuous delivery and operational stability. Monitor, analyze, and optimize performance of data pipelines and jobs executed through ADF pipelines, Synapse pipelines, and Databricks jobs, ensuring high availability and reliability. Implement secure DevOps practices by managing secrets, credentials, and keys using Azure Key Vault, managed identities, and GitHub Actions secrets. Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to DBT model execution failures, CI/CD pipeline errors, and Azure infrastructure incidents, applying root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Establish and maintain observability frameworks using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and pipeline monitoring tools to ensure system reliability, fault detection, and performance visibility. Apply Azure best practices related to cloud security, compliance, RBAC, networking, cost optimization, and disaster recovery, aligning systems with enterprise and regulatory standards. Collaborate with data engineers, analytics teams, and stakeholders to define deployment standards, reliability objectives, and operational runbooks for cloud-based data platforms. Evaluate and implement advanced DevOps and SRE tools and methodologies, including containerization with Docker and optional orchestration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), to improve scalability and resilience. Minimum Education Requirement: This position requires minimum of Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology, or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
