About the role
As a Junior Research Scientist at our company, you will be responsible for executing and analyzing research projects focusing on microbial consortia and formulation development to enhance plant growth and function. Your expertise in microbial biofertilizers, consortia development, PGPR, and assessing their impact on plant growth promotion will be crucial for the successful completion of the research project. You should be able to independently carry out and analyze experiments. Key Responsibilities: - Compile raw data from field trials across different crops, geographies, seasons, and treatment groups. - Validate data quality, identify missing values, inconsistencies, outliers, and formatting issues. - Standardize and normalize datasets for appropriate comparison. - Perform statistical analysis on agronomic parameters like yield, vigor, germination, growth, disease reduction, and more. - Conduct analyses such as ANOVA, mean separation, significance testing, correlation, and trend analysis. - Generate treatment-wise summaries, crop-wise comparisons, and location-wise performance reports. - Interpret statistical outputs and provide practical recommendations. - Support in preparing summary tables, charts, presentations, and decision notes. - Collaborate with various teams like agronomy, field trial, product development, and regulatory teams. - Maintain analysis templates, databases, and documentation for future use. - Contribute to building a robust data interpretation framework across multiple crops and trial stages. - Deliver accurate and timely statistical summaries to highlight superior treatments. Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Biostatistics is preferred. - Strong academic foundation in statistics, experimental design, and data interpretation. Skills Required: - Good understanding of statistics, experimental design, and hypothesis testing. - Ability to clean, structure, and analyze raw datasets. - Working knowledge of Excel is essential. - Familiarity with analytical tools like R, SAS, SPSS, Python, or JMP. - Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. - Good written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Exposure to field trial data, agriculture, agronomy, or plant science datasets. - Familiarity with different trial structures and statistical grouping methods. - Knowledge of normalization approaches for comparing trials. - Experience with dashboarding or visualization tools is advantageous.
