About the role
About our group
Our organization is the Slider Process Engineering team, responsible for controlling and optimizing slider fabrication processes. The Slider Lapping Engineering and Process Department supports both new product development (NPD) and mass production by driving sustainable continuous improvement in quality, productivity, and manufacturing technology. Our mission is to ensure robust process performance while enabling current product requirements and supporting future technology and production needs.
About the role - you will
Responsible for lapping process control and critical-to-quality (CTQ) performance management to ensure processes consistently meet product specifications, quality requirements, and performance targets
Support new product development by establishing and optimizing lapping tilt control specifications and process configurations to ensure alignment with product requirements, performance targets, and manufacturing standards
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team by setting clear goals, fostering accountability, and driving excellence in product qualification, process control, and performance optimization to achieve business and operational objectives
Work collaboratively with Wafer, Slider, HGA, and cross-functional teams to align projects, improve yield, and drive product performance enhancements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision making, process optimization, and implementation of best practices to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency
About you
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with proficiency in SQL, Python, JMP, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
Excellent teamwork, capable of communication and presentation with cross-functional team
Open-minded and good attitude and work effectively in a dynamic environment
Fluent in English communication (Listening, Speaking, Writing, Reading)
Your experience includes:
Process engineer/engineer in Hard Disk Drives manufacturing is preferable.
Strong verbal and written communication in English
Strong presentation skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
Location: Korat Thailand
