Trainee - Network Security Engineer

Role Overview: As a Trainee - Network Security Engineer at SNS India, you will be responsible for assisting in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other network security appliances. Your role will involve monitoring network engineering performance, ensuring system availability and reliability, configuring and installing various network devices and services, performing network maintenance and system upgrades, monitoring system resource utilization, and collaborating with senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving network/security issues. Additionally, you will be expected to stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, and other network security appliances. - Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability. - Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS). - Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations. - Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning. - Collaborate with senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving network/security issues. - Stay updated on the latest security threats, trends, and technologies. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Certifications: CCNA Mandatory, Fortinet NSE1-2 are a plus. - Good understanding of basic networking concepts TCP/IP, OSI Model, Routing & Switching. - Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security. - Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. - Good written and verbal communication skills.
