Troubleshoot and resolve protocol-related issues covering STP, DHCP, DNS, OSPF, and BGP. Proactively identify and address LAN/WAN performance problems and downtime incidents, ensuring minimal disruption. Implement and manage intricate VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, access lists, and static/dynamic routing configurations .

Passive Infrastructure Validation Collaborate on planning and validating comprehensive passive infrastructure components , including: Cat6 and OFC cables, patch panels, and LIUs . Copper and fiber patch cords, and SFP modules . Server racks and equipment mounting . Ensure all IT equipment is rack-mounted and installed in strict adherence to industry and design standards .

Network Management & Monitoring (NMS) Deploy, configure, and maintain Network Management Software (NMS) solutions. Configure essential monitoring parameters like SNMP, traps, syslog, and flow monitoring , and establish effective alerting rules to ensure proactive issue detection. Maintain accurate and updated documentation for all device configurations, network topologies, and change logs .

IT System Support Configuration & Setup: Configure and set up various IT equipment including desktops, laptops, workstations, and physical/virtual servers . Install and manage diverse Operating Systems such as Windows OS, Linux OS, and various Server OS versions. Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs) within enterprise domain environments. Perform installation, patching, and basic maintenance of server applications and storage systems (e.g., SAN, NAS).

Cybersecurity & Compliance Configure and support fundamental cybersecurity tools including endpoint protection platforms, firewall rules, and antivirus/anti-malware solutions. Implement robust log collection and auditing procedures for comprehensive security monitoring. Assist in the integration and support of firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies . Coordinate with internal security teams or OEMs for advanced issue resolution and threat mitigation.

Documentation & Asset Management Maintain comprehensive and updated records in Excel or a central documentation system for: Switch/router and other network device inventory . Network topologies and VLAN schemas . Serial numbers, licenses, and warranty/RMA status . Perform regular backup configurations and firmware upgrades as needed to ensure system stability and security.

Customer & OEM Coordination Efficiently log complaints with OEMs, track RMAs, and follow up relentlessly until successful resolution . Coordinate planned downtimes, upgrades, and migrations with customers , minimizing business disruption. Provide timely telephonic and remote support for urgent and critical issues.

Presales Support (L3 Specific) Actively support the Presales team during the tender and bidding phases by: Suggesting appropriate network components (L2/L3/Industrial switches, routers, APs) based on project needs and industry best practices. Validating technical specifications, compliance sheets, and conducting thorough pricing comparisons . Reviewing Bills of Quantity (BOQs) and network architecture for optimal fitment, scalability, and cost efficiency. Assisting in preparing detailed network designs (HLD/LLD) and recommending suitable passive materials.

Project Execution & Coordination Provide L2/L3 escalation support to site engineers during implementation and ongoing support phases. Conduct essential site visits (local/outstation) for surveys, commissioning, and handover activities. Train end-users and client engineers effectively during project handover, ensuring smooth operational transition.
