Role Overview: As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for driving production efficiency and optimization in the manufacturing process. Your role will involve tasks such as developing and implementing productivity improvement plans, analyzing work methods, and monitoring production targets and efficiencies. Additionally, you will be involved in line balancing, layout planning, capacity planning, method study, data analysis, training, cost control, waste reduction, and technology implementation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement productivity improvement plans. - Analyze and improve work methods using time and motion studies. - Monitor and control production targets and efficiencies. - Design effective production line layouts based on product requirements. - Ensure optimal operator and machine utilization. - Perform line balancing to minimize bottlenecks and idle time. - Evaluate production capacity based on manpower, machine, and product style. - Work with planning to ensure realistic and achievable production targets. - Conduct time studies and method analysis to set standard minute values (SMVs). - Suggest ergonomic and method improvements to increase throughput. - Monitor KPI dashboards and productivity reports. - Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights. - Develop skill matrices and training programs for operators. - Train line supervisors and junior IE staff on IE tools and systems. - Identify areas for cost savings in operations. - Implement lean manufacturing and 5S practices. - Drive adoption of automation and digital tools in IE practices. - Oversee implementation of ERP or IE-specific systems (e.g., GSD, Pro-SMV). Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in industrial engineering or a related role. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. - Proficiency in data analysis and MIS reporting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
