As part of the team at Semtech, you will be involved in the development of industry-leading cellular modules, routers, and gateways that have a significant impact on various sectors. You will have the opportunity to support first responders, aid utility companies in managing renewable energy, and provide connectivity to remote individuals and equipment where it is most needed. Responsibilities: - Software Development and Implementation (25%): - Support software development for semiconductor products and tools - Write code according to established specifications and requirements - Implement basic software functions and modules - Contribute to code libraries and software components - Maintain code documentation and implementation notes - Software Testing and Debugging (50%): - Assist with software testing and validation activities - Execute test cases and verify results - Help identify and resolve basic software defects - Support unit testing and integration testing efforts - Document test results and issue resolutions - Software Design Support (5%): - Support software design activities and requirements analysis - Assist with translating requirements into technical specifications - Help develop simple software architecture elements - Participate in design reviews and discussions - Support creation of technical design documentation - Technical Documentation (5%): - Create and maintain software documentation - Support development of user guides and technical references - Help document APIs and interfaces - Assist with requirements traceability - Support revision control of technical documentation - Technical Learning and Development (15%): - Develop understanding of semiconductor-related software applications - Learn software engineering practices and methodologies - Support implementation of software design patterns - Participate in technical training and development activities - Increase knowledge of software technologies and development approaches Minimum Qualifications: - Actively pursuing a degree or certification in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field - Demonstrated growth mindset, openness to learning, and receiving feedback - Comfortable working in a team environment or autonomously on project work - Proficiency in C++ and Python - Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms - Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols like TCP/IP, wifi, 4G/5G - Working experience on Linux - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Understanding of github and wireshark - Debugging skills using gdb - Effective communication skills Join Semtech during this exciting phase of expansion and contribute to innovative solutions that impact various industries.
