Manager & Mechanical Engineer

You will be responsible for: - Developing and executing mechanical designs from concept to fabrication backed by thorough engineering analysis (35%). - Performing finite element analysis (FEA) on customer designs and recommending realistic design improvements to optimize the HMI experience (25%). - Assisting in fabrication, assembly, and testing activities from Proof-of-Concepts to mass production projects (10%). - Collaborating closely with business and engineering teams during the product development cycle to translate customer input into successful, cutting-edge products (10%). - Traveling to customer locations (domestic and international) to provide technical support (10%). - Leading and directing the work of a team of mechanical engineers, establishing organizational structures and performance expectations, and creating a high-performance culture focused on technical excellence, collaboration, and results orientation (10%). Qualifications required for this role: - 10+ years of work experience designing real-world products with at least 2+ years of leadership roles. - Creative problem-solving skills in designing electro-mechanical assemblies from concept to fabrication. - Working knowledge of various fabrication methods such as CNC machining, injection molding, 3D printing, sheet metal stamping, and assembly techniques for consumer and industrial products. - Excellent skills in 3D CAD modeling and finite element analysis (FEA). - Good understanding of materials and structural mechanics. - Experience in consumer electronics is a plus. - Working knowledge of electronics and circuits. - Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly tools. - Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
