PHP Developer

The purpose of this role is to bridge business needs with technical solutions by analyzing requirements, developing PHP-based systems, and ensuring successful user adoption through thorough documentation, testing, and training. The candidate will play a key role in enhancing business processes by delivering reliable, user-focused software solutions. Key Responsibilities: Takes ownership of gathering business requirements by engaging directly with stakeholders and end-users to understand their needs, challenges, and process gaps. Prepare a clear and comprehensive requirement document and ensure they are reviewed and approved by all relevant stakeholders before development begins. Personally visit operational areas to gain firsthand understanding of workflows and ensure solutions are grounded in real business needs. Drives to develop, enhance, and maintain PHP-based systems that align with business objectives, ensuring high-quality, secure, and efficient code with minimal oversight. Takes full accountability for coordinating and conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documenting feedback, resolving issues, and ensuring system readiness for deployment. Creates and delivers effective training and awareness sessions for end-users, taking responsibility for smooth adoption and confident usage of the new system. Provides timely and transparent updates to Head Business Excellence or Manager IT on project status, risks, and key milestones, while maintaining clear documentation of outcomes and improvement areas. Required Qualifications & Experience: Qualification Bachelor s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience in PHP development. Proven experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, and process documentation. Key Skills: Problem solving and troubleshooting Communication and Collaboration Precision in coding and debugging (Attention to Detail) Project Management Basics (Waterfall/Agile) PHP Both Backend and Front-end development Experience Experience in data mapping, transformation, and system integrations. An analytical mindset focused on developing solutions and processes, not solely on coding tasks Experience with Identity Management Layers, and implementing Single Sign On is Add ON Proficiency in PHP: Strong understanding of PHP language and syntax. Frameworks: Experience with PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, or Zend. Front-End Technologies: Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for seamless integration with back-end. Database Management: Proficiency in SQL and working with databases like Oracle, MySQL, or MongoDB etc. Version Control: Familiarity with other version control systems.
