About the role
As a Software Architect at SES, you will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of high-quality software, integrating software expertise with a deep understanding of satellite systems. Key Responsibilities: - Work with demand management team to design & develop features to meet product requirements - Implement and maintain the software architecture of high-quality software throughout the software development lifecycle - Interface with internal stakeholders to define software requirements - Propose innovative methods to enhance existing software architecture - Stay updated on new technologies and assess their relevance for SES - Lead the technical section for external bids - Present solutions for issues in a coherent manner considering system needs - Guide team members in testing and maintaining the existing code base - Drive system integration and validation through test plan preparation and review - Engage in peer reviews to ensure code quality and contribute to codebase improvement - Provide expertise for anomaly resolution and propose corrective/preventive actions - Demonstrate developed solutions to stakeholders and customers - Onboard, train, and mentor new team members - Share information and knowledge with other teams for effective communication - Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to create a collaborative environment - Maintain technical documentation for future reference Qualifications: - Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, or Electrical Engineering - 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and testing software for critical systems - Experience in telecommunication satellites systems - Strong programming skills in C#, ASP.NET MVC/.NET Core, and IIS-based web application architecture - Experience with Oracle database design and PL/SQL - Hands-on experience with front end design using JS and React - Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools, preferably Azure DevOps - Understanding of cloud orchestration tools, technologies, and API standards - Previous experience with inventory management systems By fostering collaboration, excellence, and inclusivity, SES provides fair and equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without discrimination based on various factors.
