PostgreSQL Database Administrator for Product Company-Pune,Yerwada

What will be your responsibility: Administer, maintain, and support PostgreSQL and SQL database environments across development, testing, and production systems. Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement performance tuning and optimization techniques. Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery processes. Ensure database availability, reliability, security, and integrity in Linux-based environments. Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migration activities. Work closely with application and infrastructure teams to support deployment and production activities. Analyse and optimize complex SQL queries, indexing, and database structures for improved performance. Implement and maintain database monitoring and alerting mechanisms. Support capacity planning, storage management, and database scalability initiatives. Maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and best practices. Provide production support and participate in troubleshooting critical database incidents. Exposure to MongoDB and NoSQL databases for handling modern and scalable data solutions will be an added advantage. What is needed from you: Engineering graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. 1012 years of hands-on experience as a Database Administrator (DBA). Strong expertise in SQL and PostgreSQL database administration. Good experience working with databases in Linux/Windows environments. Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, backup & recovery, replication, and troubleshooting. Experience in database installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenanc eactivities Good understanding of database security, user management, and high availabilit yconcepts Good knowledge of managing on Prem and cloud base database environment Hands-on experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries Knowledge of MongoDB and NoSQL databases will be a strong plus Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage critical production environment seffectively .
