Injection Molding Engineer - IATF Background

Role & responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve process, machine, and mold-related issues. Apply scientific injection moulding techniques ( cavity balance, pressurevolumetemperature relationship, gate setting, etc.) for process optimization. Select and handle plastic raw materials (prime & reprocessed) with knowledge of their properties, drying requirements, shrinkage, flow behavior, and additives. Monitor machine parameters, screw/barrel combinations, and ensure optimal utilization. Work closely with quality, maintenance, and tool room teams to ensure smooth operations. Support new product trials, mold validation, and first-off approval. Implement lean manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Poka-Yoke). Train and mentor production engineers and operators on machine basics and scientific molding. Ensure safety and compliance standards are followed. Preferred candidate profile Strong knowledge of injection molding process and troubleshooting. Understanding of material science (PP, ABS, Nylon, PC, filled/unfilled grades, etc.). Basic knowledge of machine operation (clamping, injection unit, screw design, barrel heating, mold setting). Problem-solving and analytical thinking. Team leadership and communication. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP.
