SAP ABAP Full Stack Developer

Role: SAP ABAP Full Stack Developer Exp: (5 7 years) Location: Bangalore. About the Role We’re looking for someone who can operate comfortably across SAP backend and frontend, with strong open source fullstack knowledge and understands how SAP fits into a broader technology landscape. This is not a conventional ABAP-only role. You will be expected to deliver end-to-end solutions, work on integrations with external systems, and collaborate with open-source and cloud-based technologies where needed. The role is best suited for someone who looks beyond SAP transactions and has a strong grasp of overall system architecture and cross-platform solutioning. . SAP Development (Core) • Design and develop SAP solutions using ABAP (RICEF objects) • Build and maintain Fiori/UI5 applications • Develop and consume OData services and APIs • Work on enhancements (BAdIs, user exits) , reports, interfaces, and forms (Adobe/SmartForms) • Debug and optimize performance across SAP applications Full Stack Ownership (SAP + Beyond) • Handle end-to-end development: UI (Fiori/UI5) + Backend (ABAP) • Ensure seamless integration across SAP modules (MM, SD, FI, etc.) • Work with S/4HANA concepts (CDS Views, AMDP, RAP – preferred) • Take ownership of solution design, not just code delivery Open Source Full Stack Exposure (Important) • Working knowledge of modern full stack technologies such as: o Frontend: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, frameworks like React/Angular (basic to intermediate) o Backend: Node.js / Python / Java- based services (any one stack is acceptable) • Understanding of: o REST APIs, microservices architecture o JSON/XML data structures o API orchestration and middleware patterns • Ability to integrate SAP with open-source ecosystems and external platforms • Exposure to Git-based version control and modern development workflows Integration & Cloud Awareness • Experience integrating SAP with third-party or non-SAP systems • Basic exposure to SAP BTP / Integration Suite (preferred but not mandatory) • Understanding of event-driven and API-led integration patterns Business & Functional Understanding • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders • Understand end-to-end processes like: o Order-to-Cash (O2C) o Procure-to-Pay (P2P) o Finance flows Communication & Collaboration • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Provide structured updates and articulate risks, dependencies, and solutions • Participate in design discussions and challenge approaches where needed Ownership & Execution Discipline • Work independently with minimal supervision • Take accountability for outcomes, not just assigned tasks • Operate within structured governance and reporting models • Adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and business domains Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills • Computer Science Engineer • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP • Strong expertise in: o RICEF objects o OData services and API development o SAP Fiori / UI5 • Exposure to S/4HANA development (CDS, AMDP, RAP preferred) Open Stack Capability (Must-Have Mindset) • Practical exposure to at least one open-source backend stack (Node.js / Python / Java) • Familiarity with frontend frameworks beyond SAP UI5 is a strong advantage • Understanding of how SAP integrates into a larger enterprise tech ecosystem Core Competencies • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Business-oriented thinking • High learning agility • Self-driven and proactive approach • Ability to work in structured environments with clear accountability Preferred Qualifications • Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or rollouts • Exposure to Agile / DevOps environments • Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, or modern development practices Nice-to-Have • Exposure to SAP BTP / cloud-native extensions • Experience integrating SAP with external platforms (eCommerce, CRM, third-party APIs) • Domain experience in manufacturing / medical devices (if relevant) What We’re Looking For (Behavioral Traits) • Ownership mindset (focus on outcomes, not tasks) • Ability to bridge SAP + open systems thinking • Clear communicator (tech business translation) • Fast learner with curiosity for new technologies • High reliability and execution discipline
