About the role
This senior-level role leads the structural and modular design of hyperscale and enterprise data center facilities. The engineer drives concept development through construction documentation, integrating prefabricated modular systems with site-built structural solutions. The position requires deep expertise in steel design, BIM-driven workflows, and cross disciplinary coordination on fast-track, high-availability projects. Role & responsibilities -- Develop structural systems for new data center builds and campus expansions -- Evaluate steel, concrete, and hybrid framing options against program requirements -- Lead design charrettes and structural feasibility studies at early project phases -- Perform gravity, lateral, and seismic analysis per ASCE 7, IBC, and ACI/AISC standards -- Size and detail structural members, connections, and foundation systems -- Coordinate with geotechnical reports to develop foundation design strategies. -- Design structural interfaces for prefabricated modular units (PMM, skid-mounted MEP) -- Coordinate module sequencing, transport loads, and lifting/rigging requirements -- Collaborate with modular vendors to validate structural adequacy and tolerances -- Author and manage structural Revit models to LOD 350/400 standards Preferred candidate profile -- 10+ years of experience in structural design, with at least 4 years on data center or mission-critical projects -- Proficiency in ETABS, RAM Structural System, or SAP2000 -- Advanced Revit/BIM authoring skills and experience with ISO 19650 workflows -- Strong working knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, and IBC codes. -- Exposure to fast-track design-build delivery and integrated project delivery (IPD) -- LEED AP or familiarity with sustainable structural material strategie
