We have a requirement for Technical Lead (Verification & Validation And Reliability) position having its own in-house Product Development Centre into design, develop, engineer, and manufacture indigenous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Below are the job Details :- Role Purpose The role is responsible for leading end-to-end Verification and Validation (V&V), Reliability Engineering & Process Governance functions for various UAV platforms The incumbent will drive strategic alignment between engineering execution, Compliance, product reliability, and organizational revenue goals by enabling faster market readiness, reducing field failures, optimizing validation cost & accelerating release process The position demands a strong blend of technical depth, cross-functional leadership, business acumen, customer orientation & operational governance to ensure successful delivery of safe, compliant, high-reliability products across domestic and international markets Job Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Verification & Validation (V&V), reliability engineering & release readiness activities across product programs & business verticals (incl Non-standard, NCNC) Manage piloting activities & team of expert pilot across different weather and altitude locations Verification of certification requirements during product development lifecycle from kick-off stage Establish governance frameworks, engineering processes, validation plans and milestone tracking systems Develop in-house testing, reliability & environmental qualification, accelerated testing, Validation test rigs / benches capabilities Collaborate with Engineering Manufacturing, Quality (and suppliers) for product acceptance and issue resolution (Prepare QAPs, Test plans & release processes) Ensure operational efficiency through automation, dashboards, governance frameworks, and process standardization Lead budgeting, resource planning, vendor management, and technical risk mitigation initiatives Build & mentor high-performance V&V team with strong execution and accountability culture Key Success Metrics Faster product commercialization and release readiness Improved product reliability, safety, and customer delivery confidence Zero critical post-release escalations attributable to V&V gaps Reduction in field failures, validation delays, and external dependency costs Improvement in reliability and MTBF metrics Improved governance, engineering efficiency, and cross-functional execution Enhanced organizational capability for global regulatory compliance and market expansion Achievement of project milestones within planned timelines and budgets Successful certification approvals without major non-compliances Improvement in reliability metrics and reduction in post-release issues Effective implementation of process automation, dashboards, and governance systems Strong stakeholder satisfaction across Engineering, Leadership, Customers & other internal stakeholders Key Skills & Competencies Required Strong expertise in V&V-planning & execution, system level engineering, reliability & certification processes Proven track record of leadership capability to manage large cross-functional engineering programs Risk assessment and root cause analysis Strategic thinking with strong execution and problem-solving orientation Knowledge of aerospace/UAV/reliability measures and quality standards & testing methodologies Accelerated testing Strong communication, stakeholder management & decision-making capabilities Commercial awareness with ability to align engineering outcomes to business and revenue objectives Education & Experience Bachelor s / Master s degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Avionics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, or related engineering disciplines 13 to 17 years of experience in Verification & Validation, Reliability Engineering, Certification, System Integration & Product Engineering within Aerospace, UAV, Automotive, Defense, related technology-driven industries Proven experience in leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing complex technical programs Job Location: Mumbai Education: Aerospace Avionics Bachelor s / Master s degree in Electronics Embedded Systems Mechanical robotics Experience: 13 to 17 yrs Disclaimer: This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
