EHS Coordinator for HAILONG

How You’ll Make an Impact You will apply all your HSE expertise with the aim of supporting Operational staff and other departments in applying the SGRE HSE management system and HSE rules. To achieve this, your main tasks will be to How to contribute to our vision This role is a replacement to ensure business continuity and fulfill a mandatory EHS coordination function for the HAILONG customer project, as stipulated in the contract. This Experienced Professional (P2) position is critical for maintaining safety standards and regulatory compliance within the Offshore Service EHS team for the Asia Pacific region, based in Taichung, Taiwan. To meet these contractual and safety obligations, the role is structured around three core areas: EHS Program Implementation & Compliance, Incident Management & Investigation, and Stakeholder Engagement & Training. This focus ensures proactive risk management, effective response to incidents, and consistent communication with operational teams and the customer. Given the focus on project-specific EHS management, the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in an industrial or offshore environment, a strong understanding of local HSE regulations, and practical skills in risk assessment and incident investigation. A relevant degree, proficiency in English, and the ability to work independently are essential for success. What You Need To Make a Difference 40% EHS Program Implementation & Compliance . Implement with OPS Team and maintain the EHS management system on the HaiLong project, ensuring compliance with company policies, ISO 14001 standards, and local regulations. Perform regular EHS inspections and safety audits on-site to verify compliance with standards and procedures, generating detailed reports and communicating findings. Conduct and review risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses for all operational activities, proposing and tracking the implementation of effective mitigation measures. Support the deployment of corporate EHS programs and initiatives, adapting them for the specific needs of the offshore service environment and ensuring proper rollout. Manage EHS documentation, including environmental permits, waste management records, and compliance reports. 30% Incident Management & Investigation Lead and coordinate the investigation of all EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses, utilizing root cause analysis methodologies to identify underlying failures. Manage incident reporting and documentation in the company's EHS software (e.g., ENABLON), ensuring timely and accurate data entry and communication to all stakeholders. Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive action plans (CAPAs) resulting from investigations and audits to prevent recurrence. 30% Stakeholder Engagement & Training Act as the primary EHS point of contact for operational teams, site management, and the customer on the HaiLong project, providing expert advice and field support. Develop and deliver EHS training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to site personnel and subcontractors to foster a strong safety culture. Prepare and present EHS performance reports and documentation for internal management meetings and external customer interactions. Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills and exercises to ensure site preparedness. Certifications Taiwanese Occupational Safety & Hygiene Officer certificate NEBOSH or equivalent GWO (Global Wind Organisation) Basic Safety Training Education Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related technical field. Fluency in English (C1 level) is required for communication with international teams and customers. Demonstrated knowledge of Taiwanese environmental, health, and safety regulations. 5-7 years of professional EHS experience, preferably in an industrial, energy, or offshore environment.
