About the role
Role Overview: As a Lead Process Engineer for H2 Electrolyser Plants at Siemens Energy, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in developing and producing innovative Hydrogen and Power-to-X systems. You will be part of a small, pragmatic team with global responsibility for hydrogen projects, contributing your enthusiasm and experience to set the tone for this new business. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the project as process lead for all process related activities and main point of contact for customer / stakeholder / vendor. - Design and simulate processes for electrolysis plants. - Develop specifications for components and systems according to valid codes and standards. - Design and maintain P&ID diagrams as well as associated data sheets, component and instrumentation lists in COMOS environment. - Develop specifications for the automation of electrolysis plants. - Coordinate process engineering execution and interfaces with customers, subcontractors, and internal experts of other engineering disciplines. - Support HAZOP/LOPA and safety studies in cooperation with customers and safety experts. - Participate in global meetings like project kick off, FATs, design review, etc. - Design and install test rigs and pilot plants for validation of next-generation electrolyzer technology and advanced hydrogen solutions. - Qualify and expedite subcontractors and execute factory acceptance tests. - Assist in proposal preparation and provide technical documentation based on customer specifications. - Participate in pre-FEED and FEED activities. - Develop operating concepts and support in the commissioning of electrolysis plants. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in process/chemical engineering/mechanical or related engineering areas. - Teamwork and collaboration capabilities including communication skills. - Intercultural sensitivity and willingness to travel. - Fluent knowledge of English. - Passion for the area of energy transition and decarbonization. - Process engineering experience of more than 10 years in power, oil and gas, or related new energy sectors.
