About the role
As a Production Planner at Siemens Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable transmission and distribution of electrical power. Your responsibilities will include: - Daily production planning and control to meet turnover targets. - Organizing, monitoring, and controlling the assembly area to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. - Providing support to technicians by coordinating with various departments. - Monitoring and recording key performance indicators for assembly groups and initiating measures to resolve issues. - Conducting meetings with team members to discuss production operations, safety, and quality. - Planning, assigning, and assisting in the training and development of technicians. - Organizing, leading, and executing improvement projects and activities. - Handling internal and external ISO audits related to documentation, processes, and employee training. - Tracking input man-hours vs output man-hours to release monthly productivity figures. This role is based in Kalwa-Thane and offers the opportunity to work with teams impacting entire cities and countries. Qualifications required for this role include: - B.E. in Mechanical or Production Engineering. - 0-3 years of experience in a related field. - Proficiency in English for effective communication. - Basic knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations. - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles. - Basic computer knowledge including spreadsheet and presentation software. Preferred qualifications and skills include: - Understanding of supervisory approaches for work direction and performance management. - Flexibility in working approach as per business requirements. - Negotiation skills for resolving technician-related issues at the grassroots level.
