R&D Design engineer

You ensure that the PM @ Siemens processes, rules, and regulations are being followed and you are authorized and obliged to stop any deviating processes and projects You enable continuous improvement over all project phases, and you report directly to Quality Head / Team Lead. Implementation of quality gates and measures in development, product surveillance and continuous improvement Responsibilities: Understanding of energy industry requirements. Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) project milestones, Getting the design ready for different milestones, design update and release to close the reviews and milestones. Responsible for designing, checking and releasing of Steam turbine components and assemblies in NX considering full spectrum of design requirements (functionality, robustness, cost effectiveness, Manufacturing & technology, assembly and service). Understanding of designing of turbine components for additive manufacturing (3D printing). The design can be upgrade of existing design or can be development of a component from additive manufacturing POV. Proficiency in NX for 3D modeling, assembly, drafting, BoM creation Prepare and check component drawings, welding drawings, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, manufacturing sketches, layouts as per global standard requirements and creation of complete order BoMs. Responsible for providing R&D support to Shop / site for evaluation of non- conformance reports and define further measures & troubleshooting for manufacturing deviations and site issues. Responsible for providing R&D support to Proposal team for bidding purposes as and when needed. Knowledge of Mechanical Integrity of steam turbine components. Knowledge of product development process of a product. Knowledge of Quality Management system. We dont need superheroes, just super minds. BE / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering 8-10 years prior experience in R&D / Engineering as Design Engineer. Sound Technical knowhow of Steam turbine Design. Knowledge of Design Tools like NX, AutoCAD, and systems like SAP, Team Center. Hands on experience of creating 3D assemblies / Models / Drawings / SAP. Weve got quite a lot to offer.
